ICC imposed deadline has come and gone

The American Cricket Federation (ACF) notes the recent progress made in USA cricket governance as indicated in the ICC’s December 14, 2016 press release. However, ACF is quite concerned that the ICC imposed deadline of December 15, 2016 has come and gone without USACA being held to the deadline. It was more a reminder of past failures than a bright new future of cricket governance in the USA.

The ACF continues to be supportive of national unification and a fresh start for USA cricket, based on a new constitution that’s more widely reviewed by USA cricket stakeholders. The ACF views on necessary adjustments to the proposed constitution are already on record. However, it is essential that such a new constitution be acceptable to all USA cricket stakeholders, not just USACA, and the first elections under the new constitution should be conducted expediently and with extraordinary integrity and transparency. Nothing less is acceptable for the future of USA cricket.
