ACF Election 2013 – ACF Appoints Election Examiner

The American Cricket Federation (ACF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor and former Director G. E. Whittenburg, of the Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy at San Diego State University, as the Independent Overseer of ACF’s December, 2013 Elections.

The ACF is indeed fortunate to be able to secure the services of such an august figure from the Accounting and Finance world. Professor Whittenburg earned his BS (Economics), MSAcc (Taxation) and PhD (Accounting/Finance) at the University of Houston, before joining the faculty at San Diego State University in 1976.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (inactive), Professor Whittenburg has also authored over ninety professional journal articles, textbooks and supplements, while finding time for his recurring Visiting Professor appointments in places as diverse as Australia and the Ukraine.

Mike Thomas, ACF’s Treasurer said “In welcoming Professor Whittenburg to this role, we do little justice to his achievements in a short press release. Recipient of some eighteen meritorious awards in his career, and a participant in countless wider related forums, we are delighted that he has agreed to provide oversight of the ACF’s election processes.”

Commented Professor Whittenburg, “I am pleased to help the ACF get off to a good start by getting their election processes set up correctly from the beginning.”

On behalf of all American cricketers, the American Cricket Federation thanks Prof. Whittenburg for his support of the sport.
