Schedule announced for ACF’s Inaugural T20 tournament in Los Angeles


The American Cricket Federation (ACF) said today that preparations were in full swing ahead of the Inaugural T20 tournament.   The tournament, to be played over the Columbus Day weekend (October 6-8), has attracted eight leagues from across the country.

“We are excited to host an inter-league tournament of this magnitude in the U.S. and we are leaving no stone unturned to make this a memorable event for all participating teams,” Kamal Azeez, President of SCCA said.

The eight teams are Minnesota Cricket Association (MCA), Michigan Cricket Association (MichCA), Cricket League of New Jersey (CLNJ), Washington Metropolitan Cricket Board (WMCB), Southern Connecticut Cricket Association (SCtCA), Midwest Cricket Conference (MWCC) and Massachusetts State Cricket League (MSCL).

“All matches will be played on natural turf wickets at the Woodley Cricket Complex.   The four natural turf wickets are in a single complex which makes it possible for us to schedule four matches simultaneously if needed,” Mr. Azeez said.   While Severn, Marder, Wright and Wong fields will be used for the qualifying games, the semi-finals and finals will be played on Wright and Severn., USA’s leading cricket portal, is expected to provide regular updates including ball-by-ball coverage of key matches.  A detailed match schedule has been provided to the teams.

Day 1; 10/6/2012; Saturday

10:00 AM – MSCL vs WMCB
10:00 AM – MichCA vs CLNJ

2:00 PM – MWCC vs SCCA
2:00 PM – MCA vs SCtCA

Day 2; 10/7/2012; Sunday

10:00 AM – MSCL vs MichCA
10:00 AM – SCCA vs WMCB
10:00 AM – MCA vs CLNJ
10:00 AM – SCtCA vs MWCC

2:00 PM – SCCA vs MichCA
2:00 PM – SCtCA vs CLNJ
2:00 PM – MWCC vs WMCB
2:00 PM – MCA vs MSCL

Day 3; 10/8/2012; Monday

Semi-finals – 9:30 AM
